WHAT IS THIS BUSINESS ENGLISH COURSE AND WHO IS IT FOR?

The Business English Course in Accounting & Management is higly recommended for accounting professionals and business people who want to improve their English communication skills in a work environment. The pre - intermediate level accounting course contains career - specific vocabulary and contexts into lessons that build students' working knowledge of English. It addresses topics including bookeeping, financial statements , taxes , career options , management and many others.
In this accounting & management course, you are offered a variety of modern, business - related topics to engage students and involve them in the practice of  everyday business. It has been developed in association  with the financial times , one of the leading sources of business information in the world.
It consists of 6 units based on topics of great interest to everyone involved in international business. It also reflects the last trends in the accounting and management. Everybody studying this course will become more fluent and confident in using the language of accounting & management and should increase their career prospects.

 

The 6 Units are divided into:

* Business Topics - lessons to teach vocabulary used in the working world

Students are going to read the profit and loss report and discuss about what profit and loss reports are for.
They can also learn some useful vocabulary regarding income statements.

LESSON 2 - ACCOUNTING 2 - Balance Sheets
Students read the passage about the balance sheet and look for some information included on a balance sheet.
Bullet points: assets,liabilities, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory , intangible assets, owner's equity, property & equipment etc.

LESSON 3 - COSTS AND EXPENSES

Objectives : Learning about costs and expenses , defining a term.
Students are going to read the passage about costs and expenses and discusss the questions as a class.

LESSON 4 - INCOME AND ASSETS

Służymy wsparciem technicznym i możliwością połączenia testowego dla ewentualnego sprawdzenia jakości połączenia. W czasie zajęć nie ma konieczności udostępniania swojego wizerunku.
